I personally had a horrible experience with LK's Auto Repair Inc and felt deceived, will NEVER do business with them again, But I hope what I experienced was an anomaly & that whomever reads this fares better . Pros: 1) Ride shuttle service Cons: 1) Initially Quoted me $2418 clutch & accessory replacement . Infiniti Dealership quote - $1700 Bucky's Auto Repair quote ( Establishment on same street ) - $1400 In my 23 years of living i have NEVER heard of a mechanic charging over 140% more than the actual DEALERSHIP . 2) I believed my car had a particular problem from my independent research , But LK's auto FLAT OUT to my face REFUSED to fix the known issue without doing a for lack of better words "package deal" . They more or less told me they were going to replace all possible problems to eliminate guess works which is obviously expensive and unacceptable 3) Was originally told my vehicle would be completed in 2 Business days which I though was extremely fast . On the second business day I received no call , so i reached out just to find out the parts just came in that day and would take 2 additional business days 4) I voiced to them I was considering selling the car due to it not being worth the maintenance cost and would install a less expensive clutch assembly available through their manufacturers only for them to tell me they would not install the less expensive parts due to " looking out for the interest of the future buyer" a total disregard for my budget and the FACT that it is my car and my decision to make 5) Finally and worst of all I go to take my car home and the service advisor Mr. Miramontes after voicing my concerns gave me what i viewed as the last slap in the face . I was PROMISED a 2-Year Warranty on these obviously expensive parts, But they decided to use different once again more expensive manufacturer and I was non-nonchalantly informed i would be receiving HALF my warranty on the ironically more expensive parts which at this point I viewed as theft and would not tolerate. Hindsight vision 20/20 I took working with this company as a learning experience and hope that you may learn from my shortcomings. PLEASE get second options people it'll save you in the long run.
As a business we are always concern on a customer review. We are estimating from repairpal. We found as we were testing the vehicle on start off, the clutch had a vibration from the flywheel cause by excessive heat as the disc was worn down to the rivets, caused by getting every mile out the original clutch disc. We also found the hydraulic system leaking out of the clutch master cylinder that added to the cost. If you have a complete written estimate of all the other concerns that we found apond our inspection and they come in lower then we charge we are very happy to clear up any excessive amounts. I'm very sorry the time was beyond your expectations, as we had to acquire these parts. We provide a 2year warranty on any manufacturer defects and workmanship.
